Secara literal, frasa ini berarti "Di bawah cuaca", tapi bukan itu arti yang dimaksud. Idiom 'Under the weather' dapat diartikan suatu kondisi yang kurang sehat atau tidak enak badan. Jadi, idiom ini digunakan untuk mengungkapkan kondisi seseorang yang sedang sakit atau tidak enak badan, atau bahkan sedang tidak mood atau lesu. Kalimat Ringkas Reduced sentence merupakan tipe kalimat yang umum digunakan oleh English native speakers. Pada dasarnya, reduced sentence merupakan Complex Sentence atau kalimat majemuk bertingkat yang diringkas atau disingkat menjadi simple sentence. Perubahan ini dilakukan dengan cara merubah Klausa menjadi Frasa dengan cara menghilangkan Subject dan Verbnya. Untuk lebih memahami, perhatikan contoh-contoh di bawah ini: The man who stands in front of the office is my uncle. Reduced: The man standing in front of the office is my uncle. Who stands in front of the office merupakan anak kalimat / sub-clause dimana subject kalimatnya adalah "who" yang menggantikan "the man", sedangkan verbnya adalah "stands". Klausa ini diubah menjadi frasa dengan cara menghilang subject "who" dan menghilangkan verbnya dengan cara menggantinya menjadi present participle "standing". Expression of quantity merupakan salah satu materi yang sangat penting untuk kita pelajari karena sering kita gunakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Beberapa expression of quantity hanya dapat digunakan pada benda yang bisa dihitung dan beberapa yang lain hanya dapat digunakan pada benda yang tidak dapat dihitung. Selain itu, ada juga beberapa quantifier yang dapat digunakan pada countable maupun uncountable. Penggunaan expression of quantity secara lebih detail dapat dilihat pada table di bawah ini.
